Next week’s return to the workforce has me reading every bit of Working Mom Inspiration that I can get my hands on.  A fellow member of a Facebook mom’s group posted this link to her blog today, and I found it quite appropriate.

6 Ways To Stay Sane as a Working Mom

For me, the biggest challenge is getting out the door.  The morning routine is unpredictable, and I expect it to be even more difficult managing to get an infant, toddler, and two adults dressed, fed, and out the door by 7:15 AM.

I’m managing my anxiety by attempting a “practice run” each morning before I return.  Today was the first attempt – and while I was only a few minutes past my goal of arriving at the coffee shop by 7:30, my wet hair was pulled into a ponytail and I hadn’t had any breakfast to speak of.  A mom can’t survive on Chai Lattes alone! (Or can she? Wait, don’t answer that.)

I’ve got five more weekdays to get it together.
